ENAMEL ON COPPER workshop

Join us to learn how to design and create an enamel on a single toggle copper switch plate (with hardware) - All materials included!

In this class you will discover the ancient art of enameling. You will learn how to apply a range of colorful glass frit ( a fancy word for powder) to a copper switchplate. There is a broad range of techniques and you will have time to experiment with all of them. This process is followed by a quick trip ( less than ONE MINUTE) into our small, HOT kiln. The glass powder can be layered to create a rich, detailed design.

You will leave with an original, beautiful, hand-held work of art.

ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED!

  • One copper standard toggle light switch plate  

  • a multitude of colors of glass frit

  • 5 millefiori , 5 jewels, 10 threads

  • +extra embellishments and copper objects available for purchase (small copper dish, switch plate, pendant)(copper, opaque and transparent glass, specialty glass — “jewels", millefiori [means a thousand flowers] and threads of glass)
