Psanky is an ancient Slavic folk art of egg decoration originating in pre-Christian Pagan cultures. Using a wax-resist technique similar to Batik, we will create fantastical and symbolic egg paintings to celebrate the spring season coming.
Workshop includes:
Prepared goose egg
Kistka— a tool for the application of warm beeswax
Beeswax
Selection of colored inks
Inspirational books on egg painting
Open to individuals 12 years and older. Minors must be accompanied by parent
